02What we collect
What we collect, why, and for how long
We process data to deliver and protect the site, remember your choices and show products in 3D. We also use statistics to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics and marketing tags require your consent; Plausible uses no cookies or browser storage. The table sets out purposes, legal bases and retention for the newsletter, browser storage, delivery, fonts and configurator. More about analytics and advertising is under Services that receive data.
- Newsletter data: email address and subscription language. Subscriptions and mailings are paused.Until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after 30 days. Unsubscribed addresses are kept only to prevent further mailings.
To send the newsletter. Legal basis: consent. MailerLite handles subscription data.
- Choices in your browser: language, product list, consent and temporary site settings.Language, list and consent until you clear browser storage. Temporary settings until the tab closes; the configurator fallback cache is used for up to 10 minutes.
To remember your choices and provide site functions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a functioning website.
- Technical connection data, including your IP address, when pages and images are delivered.Connection data is processed during delivery. Any security logs are kept for as long as they are needed to detect, investigate and prevent abuse and technical faults.
To deliver and protect the site through Cloudflare. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in an available and secure website.
- Your IP address when fonts are loaded from Adobe Fonts.Adobe Fonts receives the IP address to deliver the font but does not store it.
To display the site’s fonts through Adobe Fonts. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in presenting the website with our licensed fonts.
- On product pages, Mimeeq receives product ID, configuration, quantity, Lintex’s own customer number at Mimeeq and language. Its infrastructure sees your IP address but Mimeeq does not log or save it. An AWS Cognito guest ID is stored in your browser when the configurator starts. The guest ID remains until you clear browser storage. Mimeeq keeps no copy of its own. AWS’s identity-pool documentation does not specify a server-side retention period for this guest ID. Configuration history and logo settings are stored until the tab closes. Aggregated product-load counts are kept without a time limit, without IP addresses or guest IDs.
To show products and their options in 3D. The configurator starts automatically on product pages without you clicking or using the tool, even if you decline analytics and marketing. The guest ID is used to obtain access to configurator resources. Legal basis for processing personal data: our legitimate interest in showing our products and their options.
05Who handles your data
Services that receive data
Cloudflare hosts the site and delivers Lintex media. Adobe Fonts delivers fonts. MailerLite handles newsletter data. Mimeeq provides the 3D configurator, using Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt and Fastly for resource delivery. Mimeeq also copies some resources and read models to Sydney and Northern Virginia. The configurator loads a script from jsDelivr, which receives your IP address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing products and their options.
Google Ireland Ltd provides Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, Pinterest Europe Ltd and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company provide the marketing tags. When these tools are enabled, GA4 measures page visits and interactions, such as product choices, downloads and searches, after your analytics consent. After marketing consent, advertising tags can measure advertising response and be used for personalised advertising. Data about your visit and technical connection may be associated with the identifiers these services use.
Google Analytics keeps user- and event-level data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account and then deletes it. Google Ads and Meta keep data for as long as their own terms and privacy policies state. Pinterest states that it keeps data while needed for its service and stated purposes, then deletes or de-identifies it unless a legal requirement calls for retention. LinkedIn removes directly identifying member information from Insight Tag data within seven days and deletes the remaining pseudonymous data within 180 days.
Plausible measures page views and selected interactions without cookies or browser storage. The IP address is processed for statistics but is not stored. The service does not receive search terms from the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding site use and improving it.
Data may be processed outside the EU and EEA. For US transfers, Google, Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Cloudflare, Adobe, AWS and Fastly have certified US entities under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Protection applies within each certification’s scope. The framework does not apply to Australia. Contact us for information about transfers and copies of applicable safeguards. Browser storage durations are listed on the cookies page.
